Why Print-on-Demand (PoD)?
There’s a lot of reasons the PoD option works better than a standard print run, for both the majority of backers as well as the project creator, especially in a small zine scenario such as this.
-
It allows someone who bought the PDF to stick with just PDFs if they don’t want to order print copies.
-
It allows people ordering print copies the option to get just one, half of them, all of them, or even none of them when the time comes. They’ll still have the PDF but can add on a print copy at any time, even long after the issue has been released.
-
We can offer a much lower price for everyone. Can you imagine if we had to print ourselves and ship out to everyone? Either the backers or AAW Games would have to take the brunt of the S&H costs which can be extreme for some countries. The extra logistics involved in such a procedure, including having a fulfillment house do the work, add in shipping supplies, and cost to ship and you’re talking thousands and thousands of dollars for something that doesn’t need to happen, it’s essentially adding a bunch of extra steps whereas PoD is one-click print and ship direct to the customer.

What if I don't like PoD?
You’re more than welcome to just stick with the PDF version of the zine. Luckily, you’ll still be able to add-on the print copies at any date in the future.
I understand it takes you a few extra minutes to click the link, add to cart, and checkout but those few minutes actually get the product to you 10x faster and reduces the overall cost to you by a huge amount. Ultimately, it’s the most obvious and logical option, hence the reason we went with PoD. That said, I understand it’s not for everyone and if you’d prefer to just get PDF, you’re welcome to do so and just add on the print version at a later date if you decide you want a physical copy. That’s the best thing about this, the invites remain logged with the DriveThruRPG system indefinitely so if you want a print copy now or 5 years from now, it’s still there, waiting for you.

If you are a $49 DUNGEON MASTER Subscribe to Mini-Dungeon Monthly you will receive a special code each month which allows you to add each issue of Mini-Dungeon Monthly to your cart in print format. Shipping is not handled by AAW Games. You will be responsible for your own print orders at cost and S&H each month. Remember, this is a very small amount as the cost per issue is around $2.50 USD. Mini-Dungeon Monthly will be printed in both the USA and UK so orders overseas won't be anywhere near as expensive as typical fulfillment from the USA.
Last Updated At: 02/11/19What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
